On August 12, Mr. Zhang Jiangquan, Chairman of HAWEI Supply Chain Group, Mr. Zhang Xiaolong, President of HAWEI Supply Chain Group, Mr. Zhao Hongwei, Deputy General manager of HAWEI Supply Chain Group, and Mr. Wei Zhongyi, head of the International Department of HAWEI Supply Chain Group, were in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, and held talks with Kazakh parliamentarians in Turkestan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues related to the connectivity of China, Central Asia, Russia and Europe, the opening of the East-West North-South Cross network cross-border rail and rail transportation, and the establishment of cold chain logistics storage warehouses for bilateral exchanges of goods. The Belt and Road Initiative is a path of win-win cooperation to promote common development and prosperity, and a path of peace and friendship to enhance mutual understanding and trust and enhance all-round exchanges. In response to the call of the state, HAWEI Supply Chain Group has laid out the land route along the Belt and Road, laid out sales and post-mature processing outlets in Central Asia, and actively explored the international trade business of Southeast Asian products transited from China to Central Asia and Russia, further promoted cooperation and made greater progress.
The Republic of Kazakhstan is located in central Asia, bordering Russia to the north, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan to the south, Caspian Sea to the west, and China to the east. It is an international transit transport corridor between Europe and China and other Asian countries. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Up to now, the Belt and Road Initiative has attracted the participation of more than three quarters of countries and major international organizations, and has become a popular international public good and a platform for international cooperation. The relevant concepts have been written into the outcome documents of multilateral mechanisms such as the United Nations. In the first five months of this year, China's imports and exports to countries along the Belt and Road totaled 5.78 trillion yuan, up 13.2 percent, according to the General Administration of Customs.
