On November 8, the China-Vietnam Dialogue on Economic, Trade and Logistics Cooperation was held in Chongqing. Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Thanh attended the event and delivered a keynote speech. Hu Henghua, Deputy Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee and Mayor, attended and delivered a speech.

Chongqing HAWEI Fresh Products Supply Chain Technology Co., LTD., Land and Sea New Channel Operation Company, China Merchants Energy Transportation Co., LTD., Hong Kong Xinhua Group, Vietnam Railway Corporation, Vietnam Shipping Corporation, Vietnam Airlines Corporation, Vietnam Post and Communication Group representatives spoke at the meeting. Thirteen Chinese and Vietnamese companies have signed memorandums of cooperation.

Fan Mingzheng extended his best wishes to all the friends attending the dialogue. He said that Vietnam and China are linked by mountains and rivers and share the profound friendship of "comrades and brothers". At present, Vietnam and China are continuously deepening the construction of a community of shared future with strategic significance in accordance with the high-level consensus of the two parties and two countries. Vietnam is a responsible member of the international community and a trusted partner of the rest of the world. We take economic construction as the central task, build an independent economy, actively promote the three strategic breakthroughs identified by the Vietnamese Party and State, strive to create a good business environment, promote hard and soft connectivity in infrastructure, provide high-quality human resources for enterprises, and enhance their competitiveness. Vietnam and China are each other's important trading partners, and bilateral economic and trade cooperation has developed rapidly in recent years with fruitful results and great potential for cooperation. Vietnam is willing to further enhance the alignment of the development strategies of the two countries and encourage enterprises of the two countries to strengthen cooperation in digital economy, green economy, circular economy and port logistics, so as to boost the prosperity and development of the two countries and better benefit the two peoples.

Hu Henghua said that Chongqing and Vietnam have deep historical origins and close exchanges. In recent years, the new land-sea channel has tightened the ties of economic and trade cooperation between the two places. A number of Chongqing enterprises have carried out investment cooperation in Vietnam, and a number of "made in Chongqing" goods have entered the Vietnamese market. Vietnam has become Chongqing's largest trading partner in ASEAN for five consecutive years. We are readyto take this visit as an opportunity to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and countries, make good use of the RCEP and the 3.0 version of the China-Asean Free Trade Area, further improve the cooperation mechanism, and better promote exchanges and interactions among local governments, chambers of commerce and enterprises. We will further improve logistics services, enhance connectivity of the new land-sea Corridor and the China-Europe Express, and build a more convenient and efficient transport network. We should further strengthen economic and trade exchanges, deepen cooperation in smart networked new energy vehicles, electronic information, food and agricultural product processing, and expand two-way trade. We look forward to working with all sectors of Vietnam to continue the traditional friendship, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, share new opportunities for the construction of a modern new Chongqing, and create a new future of Chongqing-Vietnam cooperation.
