On August 28th, Mr. Zhang Jiangquan, Chairman of HAWEI Supply Chain Group, Mr. Zhao Hongwei, Deputy General Manager of HAWEI Supply Chain Group, Mr. Wei Zhongyi, General Manager of the International Department, Mr. Li Dongyang, General manager of HAWEI Supply Chain Group Baoding Company, Mr. Ye Kan, general manager of HAWEI Supply Chain Group Shanghai Company, Mr. Chen Baoshan, President of Changhai Agricultural Co., LTD., and Mr. Cheng Yi Qiang, president of Changhai Group China, held a friendly meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.The two sides held in-depth discussions on strengthening strategic cooperation and integrating existing resource advantages.

Changhai Agriculture Joint-Stock Company - THAGRICO (part of THACO Group) was established in 2019 as a company to implement the THACO Group's agriculture and forestry strategy. THAGRICO owns 2 million acres of reserve agricultural land in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. THAGRICO aims to develop large-scale organic agriculture under the model of industrial management, with fruit cultivation as one of the main industries (bananas and mangoes are the main ones).

During the talks, Vietnam Changhai Group indicated that it will add banana producing areas, mango producing areas, and durian producing areas to jointly plant with HAWEI Supply Chain Group, and will open packaging factories and durian deep processing factories. At the same time, agricultural products such as bananas and mangoes from farms in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and other places of Changhai Group will be directly re-exported and sold to Central Asian countries through the new Southeast Asia-China-Central Asia railway transportation channel newly built by HAWEI Supply Chain Group, realizing the North-South connectivity of agricultural products in ASEAN, China and Central Asia. In the course of the talks, Mr. Chen Baoshan, president of the Agriculture Department of Changhai Group of Vietnam, expressed his gratitude for the long-term cooperation between HAWEI Group and Changhai Agriculture, and looked forward to sustainable development in the future.

Both sides are very optimistic about the future development and will continue to expand and deepen the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, give full play to the advantages and experience of both sides in planting, technology, operation, transportation network, transit and warehousing, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development.
